Absolutely not. One of the reasons I created this course was to address the misconception that you need the latest cinema-grade camera to make a film. This is entirely false. The camera and equipment I used for my own film were far from the best on the market, yet I still managed to create a film that was shown on UK television and various well-known online streaming platforms. The chances are many of you have far more advanced equipment than I used back then. While having access to some filmmaking equipment and video editing software would no doubt be beneficial, we will cover equipment in more detail within the course, including touching on how to go about it for those who do not own any.
